SCM Asia proudly held “SCM ASIA CONNECT DAYS 2018” in Kuala Lumpur on 6-7th September 2018, the 4th edition of our annual event: an in-house exhibition to introduce a new range of woodworking machines and technologies to the Malaysian market. The main objective of the event is to penetrate the Malaysian market with continuous growth, focus on providing an all-round solution to customers and above all to support each aspect of the after sales services.
Maestro Digital Systems, the platform of digital tools created by SCM to streamline the daily work of operators by improving their performance, was introduced for the first time to South East Asian customers and dealers with the aim of attracting visitors’ attention. The focus was also on Maestro smartech, the innovative remote assistance and maintenance system with augmented reality glasses, that received enthusiastic appreciation from the public. It was demonstrated continuously throughout the event. In fact, visitors from various industries were given the opportunity to explore how the latest digital solutions from SCM in response to Industry 4.0 requirements, integrate with SCM woodworking machines and optimise human-machine interaction. It will benefit the customers in terms of efficiency and cost-saving, especially regarding labour cost as the software is connected directly to the machines. Each machine, during the exhibition, was equipped with the eye-M console, the new, latest-generation, multi-function, wide-screen and multi-touch operator panel.
A day before the event, SCM Asia (the hub for South East Asia) organised the SEA Regional Meeting for the first time, inviting all dealers to share product insights, latest technologies and market trends from each country.
“SCM ASIA CONNECT DAYS 2018” was a great success and will help Scm Asia to achieve annual targets. The event ended with an aperitif: an opportunity to socialise and facilitate the sharing of ideas among Italian experts, partners and customers.
