SCM 's 37,000 sq.feet facility in Nottingham, includes a recently expanded dedicated showroom laid out to maximise the customer's product awareness. The machines are on permanent show for demonstration purposes, where potential customers can view the equipment before they make a purchase commitment. The showroom contains some of the most sophisticated CNC technology in the woodworking and panel processing industry.

Located in Blenheim House, the extensive Showroom and Demonstration area is used on a daily basis, to show existing and potential customers, the full range of SCM machines, from the Mini Max range of classical machines up to large CNC Routing Machining Centres. Over £1 Million of machinery is on permanent display.

Demonstrations on any machine can be accommodated, with two permanent dedicated demonstrators that can show all SCM machines running to their maximum potential, whether on standard components, or where programs have to be written, on specific customers exact machining requirements.

A software demonstration area is part of the Showroom, a feature recently opened, to show SCM’s full range of CAD/CAM packages now considered essential for running CNC machines (eg Licom AlphaCam, Pro Door, etc.), or Optimising Software for Automatic Panel Beam Saws

A CNC Window Machining Centre, plus a wide range of Planer Moulders and Classical Machines are displayed for Joinery and Furniture Manufacturers, plus Automatic Beam Saws, Edge Banders and CNC Drilling machines for the Kitchen, Bedroom, Furniture and Display / Shopfitting Industries.

SCM UK’s Logistics Department is responsible for ensuring the smooth collection of machines from SCM’s main manufacturing facilities in Rimini and Villa Verucchio, plus all the other Group’s factories in Italy, for delivery direct to the Customer’s premises or to SCM UK’s showroom or warehousing units in Nottingham.

The team is committed to providing an excellent level of service to SCM’s network of Distributors and End User Customers, being responsible for dealing with enquiries, processing orders and confirmations, arranging deliveries, invoicing, and liasing with the Service Division to ensure satisfactory installation of machines.

In the department is Steve Sheridan and Laura Coates, and between them they give excellent backup and support to all SCM customers as well as associated SCM personnel. To compliment their excellent efficiency, the Logistics team always create a happy, friendly atmosphere, where teamwork is considered very important to the successful running of this department.

Located in the modern Blenheim House in Camberley Road, Bulwell, is SCM ’s main Reception desk, to welcome all visitors to the company with a friendly smile upon arrival.

Once the formality of signing the Visitor’s Book is completed, our Visitors are guided to our large Meeting Room, where hot and cold refreshments are readily available, especially for those who have travelled long distances by road or air (Nottingham East Midlands airport is only 15 minutes away).


SCM’s Customers, Distributors, Guests, Suppliers, etc., will then be met by our relevant staff, for which we trust their visit will be both rewarding and enjoyable.

Our Receptionist will be pleased to help in anyway possible, including the booking of Hotels and Taxis, and to give directions for deliveries to our other buildings nearby.

SCM Group ’S Sales Office is where the enquiries and orders that arrive in the company are administed. Commercial Sales Manager, Brian Conlon, who has a wide experience of the woodworking and panel machinery markets, is always on the end of the phone or an email to assist customers with their enquiries and queries.

Upon receipt of an order, Brian allocates and orders machines from the numerous SCM factories and passes them on to the Administration + Logistic departments for when the machines arrives in Nottingham.

Service requirements for machines, layout drawings, technical specifications + quotations, etc, are all provided by the Sales Office, with Paris Winters assisting Brian and the Area Sales Managers in their job functions to give the vast SCM Database of new and existing customers the best possible service.
