SANDING AND SURFACE PERSONALISATION

When a flat panel is not enough
Today's market demands surfaces that stand out. Textured finishes, 3D patterns, brushed effects and laser-engraved details are transforming standard panels, doors and wall cladding into high-value, custom-designed products.
SCM's dmc system sanding and calibrating machines, equipped with an exclusive integrated laser engraving unit, create three-dimensional markings and unique surface textures in a continuous production flow. Industrial-scale personalisation: consistent, repeatable and programmable through a simple, intuitive interface.
The laser engraving unit works across a wide range of materials: solid wood, veneer, MDF, fibre cement, corian and other solid surfaces. From geometric patterns on parquet flooring to decorative texturing on kitchen doors and wall panels, the applications are as broad as your imagination.

SURFACE FINISHING

The “supermatt” revolution
The finish trend dominating kitchens, bathrooms and furniture worldwide right now is supermatt: chalky, velvety, ultra-low reflectance surfaces that absorb light and feel silky to the touch.
Until recently, achieving this effect at an industrial level required Excimer technology with nitrogen-inerted chambers, bringing high operating costs and limited flexibility. Superfici has changed the equation with its new Supermatt technology: a UV-based physical matting system that delivers the same premium result without nitrogen. No gas costs, no inerting equipment, immediate start-up.
Supermatt integrates easily into existing finishing lines regardless of the coating system in use. It is a final-stage addition, not a full line replacement, making it accessible for manufacturers of all sizes.

EDGEBANDING

Invisible edges, flexible production
In kitchen and bathroom manufacturing, the edge is where quality is judged first. A visible glue line or a poorly finished corner can undermine even the best panel. At the same time, production runs are getting shorter: where batches of 500 were once standard, today's reality is 50, 20 or even single pieces.
SCM's stefani m industrial edgebander combines three gluing technologies in a single machine (PUR, EVA and Hot Air AirFusion+), with automatic changeover between edge types, heights and glue systems. Top-quality machining at speeds up to 25 m/min, with new electronic touch technology ensuring flawless results even on the most delicate, trend-driven materials.

FULL RANGE OF TECHNOLOGIES

SCM provides the complete range of technologies for panel and solid wood processing: CNC machining centres, beam saws, drilling solutions, presses, automation systems and digital factory software. Whatever your production challenge, we have the solution.
