SCM Australia is searching for new Field Service Technicians for our growing team, with positions available in both our Sydney and Brisbane offices.

With increased growth and solid product offering, we are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Service Technician preferably with some knowledge of the woodworking industry. Responsibilities include, machine build-up, installation, leading into commissioning as a complete system along with breakdowns and maintenance on our range of machinery.

Reporting into the State Operations Coordinator for job direction, you will also have the support of an internal National Technical Department who continually seek answers locally and abroad to support your technical questions and also that of our clients.

A keen eye for processes along with great interpersonal skills will see you contributing towards our global, professional service department.

To be successful:

• - Proven Woodworking / Food / Beverage / Packaging / Automated Warehouse sector experience
• - Excellent communication skills and soft people skills
• - Electrical or Mechanical trade Cert 3
• - Process knowledge of automated systems
• - Customer focussed mindset

The Woodwork Machine Technician role is based in our Sydney office. Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, you will be working with an established team of experienced Technicians that will assist you in delivering valuable customer outcomes while you learn the ropes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• - installation,
• - technical support and training to our national customers,
• - instruct and carry out repairs,
• - visit customer sites,
• - PLC systems, mechanics, diagnostics, pneumatics, electronics and control systems
• - Ultimately, your key focus will be to provide efficient maintenance support and to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction

Necessary Requirements:

• - Trade qualifications
• - Current electrical licence is an advantage
• - Current drivers licence
• - Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills
• - A team player able to work autonomously
• - Strong customer service and communications skills
• - Travel will be required
