The SCM joinery machines are the products of continuing in-house development complementing the sum of the finest skills and know-how.
The moulder was created at the end of 1800 to produce profiles, such as the ones for frames, that were once created by hand with particular smoothing planes fitted with shaped tools.
Today the same result can be achieved with a moulder for machining wood. The machine is fitted with tools called cutters that project outwards and rotate quickly, to remove a part of wood from a square element, giving it the desired profile.
The Scm and Minimax moulders are both electronic and manual, with tilting or fixed spindles. Moreover they are fitted with a modern double extraction system that thanks to two outlets positioned laterally in relation to the spindle, guarantee excellent cleaning of the machine and the salubrity of the work space.
Furthermore a very important feature of the Scm and Minimax woodworking moulders is the direct drive of the electrospindle that eliminates the need for maintenance operations (which are inevitable with traditional belt drive systems).Read more
