Brick Mill Furniture: From Empty Warehouse to the Inc. 5000

Founded in 2020 in Williamsport, PA, Brick Mill Furniture has grown from an empty warehouse into a fast-growing custom furniture company, now named to the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America.

Starting with a planer and a few dining tables and shelves, Brick Mill took advantage of Pennsylvania’s access to premium hardwoods like walnut, oak, and cherry. As demand increased online, the company expanded its team to nearly 40 employees and began shipping handcrafted furniture to all 50 states.

As production scaled, sanding wide tabletops became a challenge. To solve this, Brick Mill invested in SCM’s DMC SD 90 wide belt sander, which streamlined sanding and supported their expansion into cabinetry, entertainment centers, and other panel-based products.
