The first investment with SCM was the purchase of a “stefani kd” edgebander, marking a decisive step in modernizing the company’s machine fleet.
The machine’s outstanding performance convinced Gebb Work to rely on the Italian Group for other stages of its production process, leading to new investments and the integration of state-of-the-art machinery and systems throughout the factory.
Panel nesting operations are now handled by a “morbidelli x200” CNC machining cell, chosen for its ability to optimize panel processing, ensure precise cuts and drilling, and minimize material waste.
This cell is fed by an automated storage system “flexstore elr”, an intelligent solution that optimizes panel handling and logistics, further reducing waste and improving efficiency.
For edgebanding, Gebb Work relies on another SCM system — the flexible edgebanding cell “stefani cell E”, complete with an automatic panel return system. The benefits are many: faster processing times, reduced setup times, and consistently high-quality finishing.
Edgebanding is, in fact, one of the key elements that ensures the refined and sophisticated look that distinguishes Gebb Work’s furniture. That’s why, in addition to the cell, the company invested in a “stefani x” single-sided edgebander, which delivers a superior edge finish on all types of panels and materials, even the most delicate ones.
Flexibility and precision are also the hallmarks of the “morbidelli pwx500” automatic drilling machine, another symbol of high performance and reliability for value-added production.
