The Holz-Handwerk four-day trade show brings a record numbers of visitors and is major success for SCM. The most important international trade show for professionals in the door and window manufacturing sector attracted over 111,000 visitors to Nuremberg between March 21 and 24.

SCM’s elegant and refined blue and white booth with over 1300 m2 of space was one of the most crowded during the event and recorded an exponential increase in visits made by business professionals and enthusiasts, including many young students, eager to discover the latest industry trends. Also exponential, compared to the 2016 edition, was the increase in orders, negotiations and contacts, all of which is in line with the strong growth being witnessed by SCM on the German market: an increase in the order backlog of 35 percent in just the last year, which has also led to a 20% increase in the hiring of new technical staff.

Nuremberg saw SCM present Maestro Digital Systems, leading the way with new digital solutions, which demonstrate how the activities of door and window manufacturers can become increasingly smart, simple and fast, regardless of the operator's know-how, ensuring consistent quality, versatility and precision.

Among the dozens of technological solutions exhibited at the trade show, the machining centres specially developed for door and window manufacturers attracted the greatest interest, in particular the new accord 42 fx. Also of interest, the range of morbidelli solutions for panel drilling, milling and edgebanding. Visitors were curious to discover the new finishing equipment as well as the new range of presses launched by SCM at Nuremberg to respond to all market categories

Holz-Handwerk will be back in 2020 for its next edition, running from March 18 to 21.
