First day at the Xylexpo fair

8 mei 2018

First day at the Xylexpo fair, celebrating SCM’s international reach and training. In addition to the numerous delegations that have visited the Italian woodworking giant's stand today – coming from every part of the world – there were also student groups from some of the leading vocational schools associated with the industry. Among these was the San Carlo Institute of Turin – whose boys and teachers were particularly struck by the latest technological and digital innovations, starting with the Maestro Digital Systems platform – a clear demonstration of the growing interest of the wide world of professional woodworking training in solutions that simplify operators’ work. Among the visitors at the SCM stand were also the jurors of the Xylexpo Innovation Awards competition (XIA) who are to announce tomorrow night the winners among all the innovations on display. SCM is competing with a good seven candidate projects spanning diverse technologies: from the latest-generation carpentry machines to the new and exclusive Morbidelli M220 CNC machining centre for routing and drilling and to the Maestro Connect system, the exclusive IoT system currently winning accolades at the fair.
