SCM confirmed its role as a strategic partner for the woodworking industry at Xylexpo 2026, presenting an evolved vision of the factory of the future based on the integration of machinery, automation, software and digital services.
The participation in the event held at FieraMilano-Rho provided an opportunity to meet customers, partners and industry professionals, 60% of whom came from Italy, and to share the Group’s main development directions: increasingly flexible and automated production systems, process digitalization and services designed to support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their investment.
Among the highlights of the SCM booth was the new accord 500 edge, a multifunctional CNC machining centre integrating edge banding technology, designed to meet the most advanced requirements of solid wood processing and the furniture industry. A high-performance and highly flexible solution, ideal for applications such as contract furniture, marine, caravan and just-in-time production.
Great attention was also dedicated to the evolution of SCM’s digital ecosystem, with IoT Solution and WinMES, the Manufacturing Execution System developed in collaboration with Tecnest, which transform production data into strategic information for more efficient, connected and intelligent factory management.
Completing the overview of SCM technologies was a new exhibition area dedicated to samples produced with the Group’s most advanced solutions: panels finished with the latest innovations in edge banding, sanding and surface treatment, together with applications created using SCM systems for windows, doors, flooring and wooden construction.
SCM’s presence at Xylexpo 2026 provided a concrete opportunity to demonstrate how technology, expertise and digitalization can translate into solutions capable of increasing efficiency, flexibility and competitiveness for companies in the sector.
SCM continues its innovation journey with the goal of supporting woodworking manufacturers in building increasingly integrated, intelligent and sustainable factories.
