Woodex, day 3: young talent at work in the SCM stand

06 Dec 2019

Talent, skill, perseverance and passion. Woodex, currently running at the Moscow Trade Fair, is also this: an invaluable place where the up-and-coming generations dedicated to the art of wood-working, can meet and share ideas which act as proof of their extraordinary skills or, for those just starting out, a chance to uncover the tricks of the trade from expert craftsmen and professionals. This is what has been happening during the fair at the SCM stand which distinguishes itself not only as an exhibiting space for the latest technologies produced by the group for the entire woodworking industry, but also as a place for specialists in the sector, craftsmen who bring to life their creations and the next generation of professionals to meet, interact and exchange ideas. Yesterday, a delegation from the Moscow State Forest University (department of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University) visited the SCM stand. It is the most famous wood-working Faculty in Russia and has been a technological partner with SCM since 2010. A relationship based on a profound interchange of technical knowledge and focused training, applied to the use of SCM technologies at the University's specific Training Center. Students watched demos given at the SCM stand on machinery and machining centres with software simulations for furniture production.

WoodSkills craftsmen are also SCM's special guests during the fair. Talented individuals from the world organisation for the development of skills and excellency, were able to work on joinery machines and let their creativity loose by creating a completely wooden Christmas Tree.

Innovation on show with SCM at Woodex.
