From Dach+Holz to the Holzbau Forum: SCM's know-how on the development of timber construction

06 Feb 2020

The most recent edition of Dach+Holz concluded on a highly satisfying note for SCM and with great attendance levels. Oikos X, the new six-axis machining centre for processing joinery elements, met with considerable interest from companies and professionals visiting the stand, intrigued by its considerable power in terms of flexibility and precision.

The success of this hi-tech model, however, was not the only reason for SCM to feel proud: the numerous meetings that took place and collaborations established during the Trade Fair with the industry's most important companies, confirm SCM as a point of reference in the timber construction market.

As a solid, reliable partner in the production chain, the Italian Group is proud to be able to provide its contribution to the industry's continued technological evolution and to an increasingly more widespread culture of eco-sustainable living. It is no coincidence that the Business Unit of Technologies for Joinery is already at work for the upcoming dates in 2020, those of the HolzBauForum, the most important international forum on timber construction in the world. Hugo Karre, coordinator for HolzBau Forum Italia, visited the SCM stand during the Stuttgart trade fair and was welcomed by SCM's BU Manager of Technologies for joinery, Tommaso Martini and the Product Area Manager, Luciano Tagliaferri.

Along with all the industry's production chain of companies and professionals, SCM will take part in the coming events due to be held in 2020: from France to Austria and from Poland to Sweden. The first date on the agenda, however, is on 27 February in Italy in Lazise (Verona) for the conference entitled "Timber construction: from paperwork to nuts and bolts!". The event will focus around climatic change and the technical solutions that can be adopted to enhance the development of eco-friendly construction.
