"Strip Planking Rastremato": new perspectives for the wood boat building
Aug 1, 2015SCM Group and the Rimini Carlini shipyard present the research project outcomes of the "Strip Planking Rastremato" designing and wood boat building technique. This project permits to build a wood half watercraft thanks to the cutting-edge cnc working centres technology by SCM Group.
The research project was coordinated by SCM Group R&D laboratory CSR in partnership with Regione Emilia Romagna ("Dai Distretti Produttivi ai Distretti Tecnologici 2" announcement) and CNA Innovation, thanks to the collaboration with the TST Soldati srl Boating School, Utensiltecnica srl , Azienda srl and Aurea Servizi sas.
The reserch project obtains innovative designing solutions for watercraft and uses the latest manufacturing technology for the wood boatbuilding re-launch in terms of efficiency and environmental impact.
