Great success for SCM and Rogiers at Prowood

Oct 30, 2018

A great success and a record number of visitors for SCM technologies and solutions during the five-day Prowood exhibition (Flanders Expo, Ghent, from 21 to 25 October), the triennial leading international event for the woodworking industry and related sectors in Belgium.

Rogiers, the exclusive SCM dealer in this Western European country, participated with two booths together measuring more than 1000 square metres, in order to present the SCM’s huge and unique collection of hi-tech applications and services to the international market. In particular, Prowood visitors were able to find out all the technological advantages which have traditionally made the Italian giant not just a supplier but also a partner to all the secondary woodworking sector. “Work simple. Work digital” was the concept underlying all SCM communication at the exhibition, the leitmotif of all the technological and digital innovations that were introduced. Prowood visitors were very interested in the Maestro Digital Systems platform and, in particular, in the innovative IoT solution of SCM Maestro connect.

The Minimax joinery machines were some of the most appreciated SCM models because of their top-notch features, high performance and continuous innovation. Other popular machines were the Morbidelli CNC machining centres for drilling, routing and edgebanding as well as the wide range of SCM Olimpic and Stefani edgebanding machines, classical machines, sanders and beam saws, and a wide range of solutions for solid wood processing such as moulders, angular system for windows productions and the CNC router of the Accord series.

SCM thanks both visitors and the people who were working or cooperating with its exclusive dealer Rogiers to make this exhibition a success. More than 15,000 people attended the five-day fair, thus demonstrating the Prowood’s leading role for all countries within the Benelux.
