On the Leading EDGEbanding: the new design trends within everyone's reach with Stefani cell E

Oct 11, 2019

Are the latest design trends complicating life at the factory? With the new SCM edgebanding cells, even an SME can equip itself with a flexible automation for "batch 1" machining which combines the advantages of customised production with large volumes in a compact design. Let's imagine a furniture company with unlimited size, space and investment possibilities. Even it has to keep up to speed with the new production design demands. Even it wants to be flexible, almost as though it could concentrate numerous joinery workshops in a single factory. But it too needs to be fast, increase productivity and have total control of the production process. Mission impossible? Even an SME can equip itself with a flexible automation for "batch 1" machining which combines the advantages of customised production with large volumes in a compact design. SCM took its cue from these demands and the result is stefani cell E, the new synthesis of "entry level" flexible edge banding cells for "batch 1". You can select from three different configurations, with manual, semi-automatic unloading and loading or with anthropomorphic robot. You can shape to meet your own production and machining needs, combining as you please, feeder, robots and supplementary movements. All the panel's parameters can be changed easily and quickly (type, colour, edge thickness, position and mortise depth, handling of the protective film, sizes...) while never having to stop the production flow. It will no longer be possible to incorrectly insert the panel between machining cycles because the new pickback bridge system will allow the operator to find it already ready for the next correct re-insertion into the machine. Stefani cell is state of the art technology for industrial edge banding in its simplest form. On the Leading EDGEbanding.
