Jul 25, 2019

The world of professional training meets with the world of industry to learn about the latest technologies in the world of Industry 4.0, automation and high tech. On the afternoon of 24 July, SCM opened its doors at its Headquarters in Rimini to a delegation of students and teachers from the Summer School “Data Driven Manufacturing with Industry 4.0”, a summer school, in its first edition, run by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Bologna. The Summer School is supported by the European organisation KIC EIT Digital Industry whose aim is to divulge Industry 4.0 as well as the skills relating to IT technologies and the digital factory, topics close to the heart of SCM. The visiting students, about fifty of them, toured the Technology Center and the machining centre production lines and, together with Dario Bellatreccia, head of IoT at SCM, found out about the latest solutions developed by the group in this field, starting with the Maestro connect, the system for gathering data and analysis from SCM technologies, which ensures complete control of the production flow and implementation of intelligent and predictive maintenance models.

On the same day, in the morning, the SCM team welcomed a delegation from Assoform, Confidustria's training unit, to take a closer look at the technologies that focus on industrial automation and new frontiers in the digital factory with Giacomo Montanelli from SCM Engineering.
