08‏/10‏/2021

Xylexpo, the Biennial exhibition of processing technologies for wood and components for the furniture industry, which is one of the reference international fairs for SCM and the woodworking industry, and 33.BI-MU, Biennial exhibition of machine tools, robotics and automation, additive manufacturing, digital and auxiliary technologies, will take place concurrently from 12 to 15 October 2022 in the fieramilano-Rho expo center.

The two events will maintain their specificity, presenting themselves as two distinct but complementary appointments merged into a single large container where operators from all over the world will find technologies, equipment, services and ideas to produce in an increasingly sustainable and efficient way, according to the principles of "Industry 4.0".

The news was made official this morning at EMO Milano 2021 by Luigi De Vito, President of Acimall and SCM Division Director, Barbara Colombo, President of Ucimu-Sistemi per Produrre, Dario Corbetta, Director of Xylexpo, and Alfredo Mariotti, Director of 33. BI-MU.

Luigi De Vito commented: "Technologies for the wood and furniture industry are experiencing an extremely positive season. If the figures relating to the first part of the year are confirmed in the coming months, it is reasonable to believe that in 2022 the world of Italian technologies for wood-furniture will record a double-digit growth in production, approaching the threshold of 3 billion euro, two of which from export. Such trend will be reflected in Xylexpo that, once again, will be a great international showcase of innovation, the world reference in even-numbered years, a not-to-be-missed event not only because it takes place in a market - Italy - highly attractive both in terms of quantity and quality of demand, but because it has always been a key meeting point for industry operators from all over the world".

The choice of combining Xylexpo and 33.BI-MU is strategic just as that of postponing the event in October, as stressed by the Director Dario Corbetta, always on behalf of Acimall, anticipating the main focus of the next edition: digital transformation and sustainability.
