PROCESSES
The laths are cut to length, planed, sanded and then:
• fitted directly on board with suitable joints and shaped where required;
or • produced as preassembled panels with the cutting and shaping needed to follow the shape of the hull or for inserting curved elements such as portholes, cockpits and hatches. This final process can be carried out by craftsmen or automatically with a 5 axis work centre. At this point the flooring elements can be positioned on board

PARTS PRODUCED
Interior and exterior wooden flooring.

MATERIALS
Solid wood.

MACHINES
Moulders, sanders, profilers, single or double side edgebanding machines, 3 and/or 5 axis numerically controlled work centres.

ADVANTAGES
• The use of automatic machines and numerically controlled centres permits a high degree of precision in producing and repeating components with great flexibility, even for small orders.
• The use of edgebanding machines in the production process also permits high working speed and thus high productivity.

SOFTWARE
• Automatic handling of all process functions, translating the CAD design information into working instructions for the machines.
• Management of tool set and tool changes during processes.
• Management of such technological parameters as tool rpm and cutting speed.
